Been awhile since I've updated. It's like all of a sudden I'm packed with so much things to do. Ok, let me get started then. Heh heh...
It's off to East Coast yesterday to meet Mr. Sheikh. He's the volunteer at this Community Centre where we used to help out with the activities. So he called and told us he wanted to treat us for dinner there. It was great cos the food was damn shiok! Haha. I like the satay, grilled stingray but the best one was the barbeque chicken. Waaah, mouth watering like water cooler man. Supeeeer nice! Next time we ever decide to go East Coast, the barbeque chicken is a MUST buy. Haha. Mr. Sheikh's a really cool guy. He's like this easy going guy who lives to make good music. He actually wanted to help the band with the recordings and all. But, we can't ask him to do that cos I think it'll be a waste of his money. I just don't have the heart to take advantage of a nice person. Hee.
So on Saturday, I was on a quest to take photographs of the different hawker centres in Singapore. It was part of my assignment for Culture and Expression. The quest started off at Queenstown cos I heard there are a lot of old buildings there. I especially like that neighbourhood cos most of the buildings look so old and it was fun exploring. It's also peaceful there. Like as if time slows down and people actually have time to stop and smell the roses. Very nice place.
So while I was there, I decided to visit WakeMeUpMusic. It's the shop that sell's all those underground albums and band tee-shirt. Surprised to see the shop is so damn small and it's located at this very 'ulu' shophouse. Broken glass windows, abandoned shops and an old nyonya sitting alone on a worn out stool watching to time pass away. Since I'm there, I managed to get hold of Nothing to Declare's EP. Amazing album so go get it! Support local scene!
But I was'nt satisfied with the pictures I took there, so I went off to Aljunied to take some of those really old coffee shop. The scary thing about taking photographs alone is that people might come up to you and ask why the hell am I taking a photo with them in it. I might even get beaten up or something. Haha. But it was really scary cos that place got a lot of drunks. Really had to be careful. However, being a pro, I managed to avoid any suspicion. Haha.
After that I met with Amir, Mizan, Munir and Saha to break fast at Paya Lebar. We ate four boxes of Canadian Pizza. I tell ya, I almost vommited for eating too much. Haha. But as always, we have blast laughing our ass off. We decided to take a walk around the bazaars there which was so damn packed, one can almost drown in the crowd. It was so humid and the haze just makes it even worse. I got a terrible headache after that. While making our way home, we saw some familiar faces. Izyan was there and so were some current sec five people. It was an awesome day.
Some leftovers... What a waste. So just now while me, Munir and Saha were out, we came across with Amir and Farid. Surprise surprise. Amir got his bike already! Damn it! Haha. It's a Spark 135 I think. What a beaute. Handles like a charm too. My time will come soon. Heh heh.
Flu medicine kicking in. I feel so... high? Hehe. I like that feeling. Dunkin' Donut taste super delicious.
Cheers!
Hatred, freedom, dreamers, burn burn... Wait and see.
